Drawings from my youth

I rarely have time to indulge in my drawing or painting these days sadly, but on a visit to my mum's house over Christmas I discovered a big bag of sketches. These were done probably 30 years ago, but I thought you might like to see a couple ...

let me know what you think?! I might post more if you like them!!

2 dancers...

a study in pencil.

I am planning to work on some water colours of dancers in the next few days. I want to achieve colour, but with freedom and flow. I don't like paintings that are stilted, so it will be interesting to see if I can achieve this...

2 sketches

reworked sketches - hopefully improving the lightness.

Male ballet dancers - student to professional.

male dancers - progression from student to professional.pencil drawing.

I am not hugely confident drawing men, although I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed studying photos for this!! Still, let me know what you think? I am not sure... Might have to redo the photo so its not so dark.
